We were looking for something that would keep him from hitting his head when he rolls over in his sleep. A couple of times he rolled over in the night and woke up crying when he bumped his head on the crib bars. It doesn’t protect him from hurting himself if he falls from a standing position, but we’d have to pad the whole crib for that.
